Freedom Weekend Contributor Now and for Life . . .
Detroit, MI—April 17, 2006, With Freedom Weekend V, being a week away, Angelo D’Alessandro, the Corporate Chair and owner of Dalessandro Contracting Group’s enthusiasm and excitement becomes more significant.
D’Alessandro will be donating his vendor booth during Freedom Weekend to a smaller well-deserving business that can use the additional exposure and will be distribute Dalessandro baseball caps and other trinkets.This is in addition to the $100,000 donation that was contributed to the Freedom, D’Alessandro was also a major sponsor of year’s Detroitworld premiere of Margaret Garner, an African American opera. The DCG is also involved in the BrushPark infrastructure rehabilitation in Detroit.
I just think this is an excellent concept from an educational aspect. I have never seen anything like this so well, put together in my life!” says D’Alessandro. He has already asked to be slotted as a participant in one form or another for other Freedom Weekend’s to come.
You can personally meet D’Alessandro, Saturday, April 29th at the Annual Health Run/Walk that will depart from Cobo at 9am. and at the Robert S. Shumake Scholarship Relays, as he has also donated additional funds toward this Annual Event. The relays will be held at Luther High, located at 3200 East Lafayette in and will also begin at 9:00 a.m.
The Shumake Scholarships are geared for high school track & field students in the states of Illinois and Indiana
